Hitting doesn’t solve everything.

As mentioned in a previous post, Tempest is now up and running on the Returner’s network. I don’t have a proper link up for it, and it’s still under construction but all of the original (relevant) content is up. I’m thinking of converting it to something else, but for now we’ll stick with the portal.

I’m having a problem out of all of the fan listings over at Beloved Star. It seems to be an error with Enthusiast because it’s running an older version of PHP than the rest of…the internet. The problem only occurs when someone attempts to join the listing, and also gives the error saying that a valid e-mail address must be entered.  This is the error:

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in/home/****/****/****/show_join.php on line 145

And here is the line of code and surrounding lines:

if( $_POST && preg_match( $matchstring, $_POST ) )

$email = clean( $_POST[’email’] );
$messages[’email’] = ‘You must enter a valid email address.’;

I’ll search for help elsewhere but if anyone is familiar with this error and knows how to fix it, please let me know.

Aside from that regrettable error, I’m also looking forward to converting Beloved Star to WP soon-hopefully before this month is up. I have no design plans so far but that never stopped me before.

Stay tuned.

Unrequited love.

The new year always makes me feel motivated to do site work, so I’m in some sort of process right now. I’ve updated all of my listings over at Beloved Star and right now I’m working on both Digital Love and Tempest. I expect to have Tempest running on WP soon with a new layout. I’m still completely in love with the current layout but I feel like changing it.

I realize the links for both sites are not under the network right now, and that’s because they’re still under heavy construction. Tempest is fairly easy to manage now, so WP will just make it easier. Digital Love will be a bit more work since there’s a database involved. Aside from that, there’s not much going on around the network. Sometime after Tempest is up and running here, I also expect to transfer Beloved Star over to WP and smack up a new layout. So stay tuned.

Never trust an atom. (They make up everything.)

It’s been quite some time since I promised to put up the databases for my fan listings. I finally got around to it. There were a few snags in the code that I had to work out but it’s all been tested and is now running smoothly. Within the next few months, I plan on making a few visible (and invisible) changes. I’ve decided I’m over the current layout for Beloved Star, so I’ll get working on the next version of that (version 7).

I also realized as I was looking for an icon for this post that I need to put the Digital Love database back up. I completely forgot about it. ^^; So that’s the last database I have to work through. It shouldn’t take too long but I have to wait for my hyperfocus to kick back in before I get around to it. I will probably take care of this and Tempest before I start working on a new layout for Beloved Star.

Stay tuned.
